NEW: Pogba Linked With Two Top European Clubs

After his four-year ban was reduced this week, French superstar Paul Pogba has been linked with two top clubs in Europe.

The 31-year-old is expected to become a free agent in the coming weeks amid reports that his deal at Juventus will be mutually terminated.

This comes after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) reduced his doping ban from four years to 18 months, clearing him to return to action in March next year.

Pogba is believed to have attracted interest from clubs in the MLS, but he has most recently been linked with Spanish giants Barcelona and French side Olympique Marseille.

Reports in Spain claim the Blaugrana will consider a move for the ex-Manchester United midfielder, while Patrice Evra has suggested he will be in touch with Marseille to recommend they sign the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Evra, a good friend and former teammate of Pogba's, stated that he will contact the club's sporting director, Medhi Benatia, to encourage Les Olympiens to pursue him.

However, Football Italia reports that a switch to the United States remains the most likely option for Pogba as he tries to get his career back on track.

The 91-time France international has not played since September last year after testing positive for a banned substance following a random drug test.

Pogba has maintained his innocence throughout, even after the initial ruling, with CAS having since determined that he did not knowingly ingest testosterone.
