FC Barcelona are reportedly considering a surprise move for a Tottenham Hotspur star.
According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Catalans are considering a move for midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The France international was a standout performer for Olympique Lyon in Ligue 1, but is yet to consistently show his best in a Spurs shirt since moving to London in July 2019.
Speaking on his Here We Go podcast, Romano has stated that Ndombele is now considered a target for the Spanish giants as they are keen to improve their midfield.
Both Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal left the club during the most recent transfer window, which leaves room for the club to add depth in that department.
There is, however, no indication as to whether or not Spurs are willing to part with the player, who has been showing signs of improvement, and whether or not budget will be an issue for Barca considering their current financial situation.
