Earlier this week, the 23-year-old Atletico Madrid playmaker stated that it has always been a dream of his to play for the Blaugrana in an interview with Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The attacking midfielder has endured a difficult time at Los Rojiblancos since his arrival in 2019, and was sent out on loan to Chelsea for the final six months of the past campaign.
Felix has returned to Madrid for the coming season, but his comments have caused a stir in Spain amid reports suggesting Atletico are furious with his public admission about the Blaugrana.
According to journalist Helena Condis, however, Barcelona will not be moving for the former Benfica midfielder as the board believes it would be impossible to land his signature.
Felix arrived at Atletico as the club's most expensive signing of all time and still has four years remaining on his deal.
