Eriksen sent a ball across the face of goal and saw it go narrowly wide of the far post. Shortly thereafter it was the hosts who broke away, but Dani sent his shot just wide. Tottenham came within inches of taking the lead in the 65th minute. Son rifled a shot from the edge of the box but saw his effort rattle the woodwork as Qarabag survived. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 78th minute. A corner kick for Spurs picked out Kane, who stooped to head home the winning goal and secure his side's progression into the knockout stages.
