An Arsenal legend has slammed Mesut Ozil for his performance against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, and reckons that he is not worthy of wearing the club's jersey.

Arsene Wenger's 250th appearances in UEFA competitions got overshadowed by his side's disappointing 1-0 loss to the Rojiblancos at the Wanda Metropolitano on Thursday, as the North London club crashed out in the semi-final.
Former England international Martin Keown, who made over 300 appearances for Arsenal, blasted German star Ozil for his lacklustre performance.
"That is not a proper performance. He's not giving everything. There's much more under the bonnet. Somebody else will find it," Keown said on BT Sport.
"Whether the new manager coming in can find it, I don't know, it's a big problem for the new manager because Wenger's invested an awful lot of money in this player and I do not see a performance to go with it.
"He wasn't fit to wear the shirt for me tonight. I've seen this a lot this season, and it needs to be said because it needs to be dug out because we expect better from him.
"He's a World Cup winner. These are crocodile tears I'm seeing from the player, he's not conning me."

Ozil has made 196 appearances for the 13-time FA Cup winners, scoring 37 goals and further assisting in 71 more strikes.
