Spanish attacking midfielder Dani Olmo enjoyed a phenomenal EUROs in Germany over the past weeks.

His instincts in front of goal saw him leave the tournament not only as a winner, but also as the competition's joint-best goalscorer alongside Cody Gakpo of the Netherlands, Georgian Georges Mikautadze, Slovakia's Ivan Schranz, Jamal Musiala of Germany and England's Harry Kane with his three goals.

Olmo's performances for La Furia Roja over the past month or so have subsequently garnered the attention of multiple clubs.

English outfits such as Manchester City and Liverpool have been touted as possible landing spots for him, but according to Sport, the Terrassa native would prefer a move to his boyhood club, Barcelona.

Whether or not the Blaugrana will sign him, however, will be contingent on if the club pushes to sign another Spain star in Nico Williams.

The 22-year-old winger is high up on the Catalans' priority list, with president Joan Laporta believed to be actively trying to land his services.

The Athletic Bilbao man has a mooted €58 million (R1.1 billion) release clause, and if Barca trigger it, it will be difficult for the LALIGA giants to also pay Olmo's reported €60 million (R1.1 billion) buyout clause at the moment.

The same report does, however, claim that new Barca coach Hansi Flick would prefer to bring in Olmo over Williams, because not only does he possess the necessary attacking qualities, but he would also add experience to what is a youthful squad at the Camp Nou.
