Result: Spain 2-1 France

Venue: Fußball Arena München

Les Bleus recalled Ousmane Dembele and Adrien Rabiot after the win over Portugal, while Jesus Navas, Nacho and recent Man of the Match Dani Olmo were brought back in to the La Roja line-up.

The French got off to the perfect start when Kylian Mbappe lifted a ball to the far post, where Randal Kolo Muani was on hand to head home at the far post after just eight minutes.

Spain had to wait until the 21st minute to get back on level and it was something special when 16-year-old Lamine Yamal found the top corner with a superb strike from outside the box and became the youngest player to score in a European Championship game.

La Roja turned the game around three minutes later when Olmo did well to weave his way into the box before seeing his powerful strike turned into the back of the net by Joules Kounde for the own goal.

With France unable to claw their way back in the first half, they were provided with a chance seven minutes after the break but Dayot Upamecano sent his header straight at goalkeeper Unai Simon.

Didier Deschamps opted for a triple change after the hour mark as Antoine Griezmann, Bradley Barcola and Eduardo Camavinga replaced N'Golo Kante, Kolo Muani and Rabiot for the final 30 minutes of the second period.

France were presented with a big chance after 75 minutes when the ball fell kindly to Theo Hernandez just inside the box, however the full-back blazed his first-time effort over the crossbar.

Mbappe had a chance of his own to level matters in the closing stages, but the captain fired over the crossbar with only Simon to beat as La Roja booked their spot in Sunday's final.
