Pep Makes Big Admission After Dramatic Man City Win

Pep Guardiola has revealed the moment he thought Manchester City lost the Premier League title to Arsenal.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola made a huge admission after his side's dramatic 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday night, a result that kept them in the Premier League title race.

The Citizens picked up all three points at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium thanks to a brace from goal machine Erling Haaland, who has now scored an incredible 63 league goals in 65 matches since his arrival in England.

Prior to his second, the Lilywhites had a golden opportunity to draw level through Heung-min Son late on, but his effort was saved by substitute goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.

Had the South Korean forward taken his chance, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal would be on top of the league table going into the final game of the season this Sunday.

Speaking post-match, Guardiola admitted that moment could have decided the title, before expressing his appreciation for the German goalkeeper and the people who recommended him to the club.

"You know how many times Son punishes us the last seven, eight years? How many goals they score with Harry Kane? Oh my god," he said, according to Manchester Evening News.

"We define here how is the team. Ortega saves the actions, otherwise Arsenal are champions, that is the reality. Margins are so tight.

"Stefan makes an incredible save. He has this talent, one vs one he is one of the best keepers I've seen in my entire life. He has the German culture, stand up, don't go down.

"Since I arrive, in the FA Cup and Carabao Cups. Ederson has had four injuries (this season). He (Ortega) is so reliable, an incredible keeper. Our keeper trainer made an incredible decision to sign him."

The Citizens will take on West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend, while Arsenal will host Everton.
