Former Italy manager Marcello Lippi is still the highest paid manager in the sport, as per Business Insider, with the 69-year-old believed to be on an annual salary of £18 million (R294 million).
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is second with his yearly salary of £15.3 million (R250 million), ahead of his rival Jose Mourinho at Manchester United on £15 million (R245 million) per year.
Cannavaro, who won the prestigious Ballon d'Or 12 years ago, is fourth with his earnings of £10.6 million (R173 million) a year, making him the highest paid manager in China's top flight.
Former England boss Fabio Capello reportedly earns £8.9 million (R145 million) per year at Jiangsu Suning, and it is believed that both Hebei China Fortune's Manuel Pellegrini and Arsenal's under-fire boss Arsene Wenger are on the same annual salary.
Dragan Stojkovic and Gregorio Manzano, who are also in China with Guangzhou RF and Guizhou Hengfeng, respectively, each reportedly earn £7.1 million (R116 million) a year.

At no. 10 is Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp, who, according to Business Insider, earns £7 million (R114 million) a year in England.
