Despite a number of high-profile errors in recent seasons, the Red Devils shot-stopper is, by far, the best-paid goalkeeper in the Premier League, reportedly earning £375 000 (R7.9 million) a week in Manchester.
That makes De Gea the highest-earning goalkeeper in England by some way, with second-placed Kepa Arrizabalaga, who represents Chelsea, said to earn £150 000 (R3.1 million) every week in London.
Leicester City No. 1 Kasper Schmeichel comes in at third in the ranking, ahead of Everton's Jordan Pickford and Arsenal's Bernd Leno.
Rather surprisingly, Manchester City's Ederson does not feature among the 10 highest-paid keepers in England, while Premier League champion Alisson comes in only at eighth.
