The 33-year-old has largely impressed since returning to City's first team squad following the row between his agent and Pep Guardiola at the beginning of the campaign.
The Ivorian has scored four goals and assisted another strike in 12 games since returning to the team, and started his seventh consecutive match in the club's 4-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday.
It has now been claimed Toure snubbed a whopping contract offer worth £430 000 (R7.1 million) a week from an unnamed club in China at the beginning of the season, as well as in this window when he was contacted again, according to BBC Sport.
The four-time African Player of the Year is free to sign a pre-contract with any interested club, but it seems he is keen to fight for a new deal at the Etihad.
