Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has reportedly urged the club to sign one of Europe's top strikers next season, although they face a lot of competition.
The Citizens missed out on signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the last transfer window as the London outfit would not negotiate a lower transfer fee.
Guardiola's are still sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League despite playing with Gabriel Jesus as their only recognised senior striker in the squad.
Spanish outlet Diario AS have reported that Guardiola has asked to make a move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland next season.
The Norwegian striker has been linked with a number of Europe's biggest clubs, including Barcelona and Real Madrid as his star has continued to rise at Borussia Dortmund in the past year.
The report claims that, while Los Blancos are favourites to land his signature, the Spanish club might not be able to compete with City in a bidding war while they would also need to lower their wage bill.
