Result: Tottenham Hotspur 0-2 Manchester City

Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Pep Guardiola made just one change from the win over Fulham four days ago, with former Spurs defender Kyle Walker coming in for Nathan Ake at full-back.

Th visitors were nearly gifted the opening after 15 minutes when Cristian Romero's poor clearance landed in the path of Phil Foden, who saw his strike brilliantly kept out by Vicario.

The North London outfit had beefed up the midfield for the encounter, but City continued to dominate, particularly down the right flank where Walker enjoyed a lot of freedom going forward.

City should have broken the deadlock after 38 minutes when Walker did well to pick out an un-marked Josko Gvardiol, who sent a first-time volley over the crossbar even though Erling Haaland was free in the six-yard box.

The second half got off to a lively start as Vicario pulled off a good save to keep out Kevin de Bruyne's effort from the edge of the box, before Son Heung-min saw his near-post effort kept out by Ederson.

City got the breakthrough in the 51st minute when De Bruyne latched onto Bernardo Silva's pass before picking out Haaland for the easiest of tap-ins, taking his tally to 26 goals for the campaign.

Guardiola was forced to make a change after 67 minutes when Ederson was unable to continue after a collision with Romero, as Stefan Ortega was introduced for the final 25 minutes of the second half.

Ortega proved his worth on 85 minutes when an error at the back allow Son to go through on goal, but the reserve goalkeeper pulled out a superb save with his foot to deny the Spurs captain.

Spurs were made to rue that miss a few minutes later after substitute Jeremy Doku won a penalty after being fouled by Porro. Haaland stepped up and calmly slotted away to seal the and sent City top heading into the final game of the season.
