Former Manchester United star, Paul Scholes, believes Angel Di Maria is currently not happy at Old Trafford.
The Argentina international, cost the Red Devils £59.7 million and has had an impressive start, but has failed to step up in big matches against Chelsea and Manchester City.
United have won just two points from a possible nine in their last three games, and Scholes believes Di Maria's mood reflects the overall mood of his teammates.
"Preparing for the broadcast of the game in Madrid this week, I watched reruns of last season and Angel Di Maria smiling broadly as he celebrated goal after goal with Cristiano Ronaldo," he wrote in his Independent column.
"He doesn't seem to be in the same happy mood at United. It feels downbeat among the team. All this, and yet the third and fourth places, with respect to the likes of Southampton and West Ham – really are there for the taking."
Di Maria's form has been slightly below par over the last couple of matches though, and heading into the match at Crystal Palace this weekend, he will raring to put that right.
