The 44-year-old has penned a five-year deal with the London giants, with his contract including an option to extend his stay by another year.
Maresca took charge of Leicester in 2023, after serving as assistant manager to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and guided the team to Premier League promotion at his first attempt.
The Italian was named among Chelsea's preferred candidates to replace Pochettino after the Argentine's surprise departure at the end of this past season.
