Jose Mourinho will be under pressure when Tottenham Hotspur host his former side Manchester United on Friday, while Liverpool will want to take an important step towards lifting their first league title in 30 years in the Merseyside derby.
Spurs vs United preview, brought to you by Betway
The coronavirus break came at a good time for Spurs, who are six games without a win in all competitions. That run saw them being eliminated from the FA Cup by Norwich City and knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by RB Leipzig.
In the league, Spurs have dropped to eighth place following two defeats and a draw. They now sit four points behind Friday's opponents United and seven behind fourth-placed Chelsea. It's a must-win game for the Lilywhites, otherwise Mourinho could come under some serious pressure.
The Portuguese tactician will be able to count on Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, who would have both missed the game due to injury had it been played on its original date.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, meanwhile, can count on Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba, who have recovered from their respective injuries. The Red Devils are unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions and will hope they can continue their strong form from before the coronavirus-enforced break.
Everton vs Liverpool preview, brought to you by Betway
On Sunday, Everton will host Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, with Jurgen Klopp's men keen to secure three points to close in on their first title since 1989/1990.
The Reds are unbeaten in 21 clashes against their local rival, with the Toffees last beating Liverpool in 2010.
The past two Merseyside derbies at Goodison Park, though, ended in a 0-0 draw, which will make Klopp and his side aware of the dangers Everton could post.
Carlo Ancelotti's side, meanwhile, won only three of their past 10 games in all competitions before the coronavirus break, but Liverpool were on a tough run, too, losing four of their last six matches. This slump in form saw them being eliminated from the Champions League by Atletico Madrid and knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea.
They also lost their first league game of the 2019/20 campaign against Watford, but could still become the quickest champions in the EPL's history. In theory, Liverpool could wrap up the title on matchday 31 with seven games to spare, which would break the record held by Manchester United (2000/01) and Manchester City (2017/18), who both claimed it after 33 games.
