Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has explained his trademark goal celebration, during which he pretends to shoot an arrow from a bow.

The 33-year-old has scored four goals in 12 Premier League appearances so far, with his latest strike helping the Red Devils beat Fulham 2-1 after going 1-0 down earlier this week.
After celebrating in his usual fashion, during which he kneels down and pretends to shoot an arrow from a bow, he explained that the action is a reference to his daughter as well as the indigenous people of his country.
"It's a bit of a long story and it's kind of wrapped up in our country's history, and the indigenous population, the Charruas," Cavani told United Review.
"When my little daughter, India, was born, her name is just a small reference to our native Uruguayans, the Charruas.
"So that arrow that I take out and then fire is a goal celebration that sort of encapsulates all these things: a mix of my daughter's name and the indigenous peoples of my country."

Cavani joined United on a free transfer ahead of this campaign, signing a one-year deal that has an option to be extended by another year.
His goal on Wednesday helped Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side climb to the top of the Premier League standing, having collected 40 points at the halfway point of the season.
