Mahrez has been with the Citizens since 2018 following his move from Leicester City, but he is now hoping to stay at the Etihad for the remainder of his career.
"I definitely want to finish my career at City and play as long as I can. I think I can still play for a long time. We'll see what the future holds after football," he said.
"I don't know. I'm still thinking. I love football so it'll be difficult to come out of it."
During his time with Man City, the Algerian has won three Premier League titles, the League Cup and the FA Cup.
However, Mahrez has had a slow start to the 2022/2023 season by his standards as he is yet to register a goal or an assist in nine matches across all competitions.
