Treble winners Manchester City have reportedly agreed to sign an international player in a deal that could be worth around a staggering €100 million (R2 billion).

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Croatian centre-back Josko Gvardiol is on the verge of joining the Citizens from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

The 21-year-old, left-footed defender has been valued at €100 million by his club, whom City are believed to have now reached a full agreement with.
Gvardiol has also reportedly completed the first part of his medical for last season's UEFA Champions League winners ahead of his proposed transfer.
The Croat is expected to become Pep Guardiola's second acquisition of the transfer window following the recent arrival of his international colleague Mateo Kovacic.

Capped on 21 occasions for his country so far, Gvardiol has made 87 appearances for Leipzig since he joined the club from Dinamo Zagreb in 2021.
