Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal, has explained why he signed Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial.

The attacking have had impressive starts to their United careers, with Memphis scoring his fourth goal for the club in the win over Sunderland.
While, Martial has also began his United career on a high, having scored four goals in his five appearances, since making the move from AS Monaco.
Van Gaal has now revealed why he decided to bring the Frenchman and the Dutch winger to Old Trafford.
"Of course, I don't say that's why we bought Martial, but we bought a type like that because in our philosophy that's very important," Van Gaal told reporters.
"I have been saying I want speed, I want creativity and that's why we bought Memphis and that's why we bought Martial also."
United moved to the top of the English Premier League standings with a victory over Sunderland at Old Trafford and that was the first time they had reached the summit of the table under Louis Van Gaal.
