The Portuguese tactician, who has coached FC Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, has apparently spent more than £1 billion (R1.7 billion) on players already, a figure that is bound to increase in the future.
English publication the Daily Mirror picked a team consisting of who they believe are Mourinho's best buys per position, and it comprises two Manchester United stars, two Real Madrid icons, four Chelsea heroes and three Inter Milan legends.
In goals is former Los Blancos goalkeeper Diego Lopez, and the reason for this is because the "Special One" only signed three shot-stoppers until now, and two of them were brought in as back-up keepers, while in defence are former Brazil stalwart Lucio, Portugal star Ricardo Carvalho, Ivory Coast hardman Eric Bailly and former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole.
The Daily Mirror picked a three-man midfield of Michael Essien, Wesley Sneijder and Luka Modric, and all three played a crucial role in the Mourinho's title-winning seasons in the Premier League, Serie A and LaLiga.
