Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho as seemingly begun some mind games after the Red Devils drew his former club Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter-finals.
Messi's Favourite Manager Responds To Barca Links
The Portuguese tactician saw his side come from behind to beat Championship outfit Blackburn 2-1 at Ewood Park on Sunday, thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
After the encounter, United were drawn against Chelsea in the next round of the tournament, and Mourinho tried to play down the significance of taking on his former club, but did imply that the Blues have the league title wrapped and can therefore focus solely on the cup competition.
"No reaction. I have to play Saint-Etienne, I have to play the EFL Cup final, I have to play hopefully another opponent in the Europa League," Mourinho said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
"I have to fight for a top-four position in the Premier League. I have so many things to think about.
"Chelsea can only think about that (the FA Cup) because they are champions and they have nothing else to fight for.
"The match is in one month's time, so I don't want to think about it.
"We're going to fight for the FA Cup, but the League Cup is the one we have a 50% possibility to win.
"And the next one is to get a result against Saint-Etienne on Wednesday and be in the last 16 of the Europa League."
Pep: I Will Never Go Back To Barca
The Old Trafford club play their next Premier League fixture on 4 March only, with the FA Cup quarter-final against the Blues set to take place a week later.
