With Manchester City currently being investigated by the Premier League, reports claim that Erling Haaland has now made a specific transfer request at the club.
Juventus Confirm Stance On Pogba Amid Contract Termination Claims
Seven months into his new life in Manchester and it seems the Norwegian has already become disillusioned with his time at the Etihad Stadium.
According Defensa Central, the 22-year-old has asked his lawyers to bring forward the release clause in his City contract, which was set to kick in at the end of the 2023/24 season, as he hopes to make a sensational exit from the club in the coming off-season.
Despite scoring 31 goals in 28 appearances for the reigning Premier League champions this season, Haaland is reportedly "not tuned into" how Pep Guardiola wants to play and is said to believe the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager is not getting the best out of him.
Earlier in the season, it was reported that the Scandinavian had a release clause inserted into his contract with the eight-time English champions when he signed, said to be worth €200 million (R3.8 billion).
It was claimed that every season after 2023/24 that Haaland stayed in the northwest of England, the release clause would decrease.
However, it appears the Norway international now wants to expedite his exit from the club.
Many of the juggernauts of European football were interested in Haaland when he was still at Borussia Dortmund, and given his exploits in England, that attention may have only increased.
