Liverpool were too strong for Stoke City, as they recorded a 4-1 victory at Anfield Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds wasted no time in showing their intent as they grabbed the lead as early as the eighth minute after Alberto Moreno scored a stunner of a strike in the from outside the box.
Liverpool continued to dominate the opening exchanges, but the visitors managed to level matters in the 21st minute, as Bojan headed home from close range to make it 1-1.
10 minutes later, Daniel Sturridge restored the home side's lead with a header from close range, 2-1, after some great individual play from Sheyi Ojo on the left flank.
Jurgen Klopp's side continued to look threatening on attack but the Potters manage to hold on until the half-time break.
Five minutes into the second half, Divock Original extended The Reds' lead to 3-1, as the Belgian, un-marked, headed home James Milner's cross from the right.
Stoke started to up the tempo as they attempted to claw their way back into the encounter but Origi then added to his tally with a sublime effort from 20-yards out to grab the Reds' fourth.
The hosts continued to look good, but the visitors stood firm and despite their efforts to get their second strike, the match finally ended 4-1 in favour of Liverpool.
