Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard both netted two goals each to inspire Chelsea to a thumping victory over Huddersfield Town in the Premier League.
The Blues were eager to restore some pride after a 4-0 loss to Bournemouth as Marcos Alonso and Andreas Christensen came in for Emerson and Antonio Rudiger.
The hosts made an encouraging start to the clash as Ross Barkley and Higuain went close to scoring inside the opening quarter.
Higuain was not to be denied on 16 minutes as the Argentine latched onto N'Golo Kante's well-weighted pass before smashing the ball home from a tight angle.
Huddersfield looked dejected after going behind and were unable claw their way back into the contest before the break.
The Blues were then afforded a chance to double their lead after being awarded a penalty just before the interval. Hazard stepped up and duly slotted home to extend Chelsea's advantage.
Chelsea took the patient approach in the second half and they were eventually rewarded with a third goal after 65 minutes as Barkley playedi in Hazard, who sent low strike into the far corner.
Three minutes later, the Blues grabbed a fourth through Higuain, whose's strike from distance took a deflection and sailed into the top corner to complete his brace.
The fifth goal arrived with six minutes remaining in the half when David Luiz's header took a deflection and sailed into the back of the net to round off a ruthless win.
