Just hours after Callum Hudson-Odoi became the first confirmed Premier League footballer to test positive for the coronavirus, the Chelsea forward has claimed that he has already recovered from the disease.

On Thursday evening, shockwaves were sent through the footballing world when Hudson-Odoi became the first player from England to officially test positive for the coronavirus.
The England international has since given an update on his condition, and claimed that he has, in fact, already recovered from the highly-contagious virus.

"As you may be aware, I had the virus for the last couple of days, which I've recovered from," Hudson-Odoi said via a video he posted on social media, as reported by the Evening Standard.
"I'm following the health guidelines and self-isolating myself from everybody for the week. I hope to see everybody soon and hopefully be back on the pitch very soon."

Hudson-Odoi is one of an increasing number of football personalities who have tested positive, including Juventus defender Daniele Rugani and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
