The Argentine tactician has found himself under serious pressure in north London after the Blues suffered a 4-2 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League last weekend.
That result followed Chelsea's 4-1 loss to Liverpool in the league and has led to suggestions all is not well at Cobham behind closed doors, with rumours that several of the team's new signings regret penning long-term deals with the club.
Among the many online posts in which fans vocalised their frustration with the Blues' humiliation at the hands of Wolves were comments from Silva's wife, Belle, who wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "It's time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late."
Those remarks have been interpreted as a call for Pochettino to be replaced.
The ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss has since admitted to holding private talks with the experienced Brazilian centre-back, but refused to go into detail about what was discussed.
"He came today (Tuesday) to talk with me. I am not going to talk about the way we were talking," he said, according to the Mirror.
"The important thing is he came and wanted to talk with me and, of course, you know me after more than 10 years, how I am.
"We are very strong coaching staff and very strong in our way to operate and the way that we are. He came to talk, we talk and that was private and that is it. Private things for me we keep inside."
