Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas believes head coach Mikel Arteta will find it hard to claim silverware if he does not learn how to win games without playing beautiful football.
Fabregas, 33, spent eight years with the Gunners after joining as a 16-year-old from FC Barcelona's La Masia academy, and while he has won two Premier League titles in his career, both came after he moved to Chelsea in 2014.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup winner has now stated that, while he believes Arteta has improved the current crop of players at his disposal in north London, he feels the 38-year-old might not have it in his locker to make the EPL outfit difficult to beat.
"I don't really know Mikel (Arteta) that well. He has his style. But I don't think it is one to win ugly," the Monaco veteran told The Sun.
"Pep (Guardiola) has a team that costs God knows how many millions. Mikel doesn't have that.
"When you want to compete at the top, playing a certain style with positive, possession and attacking football, you need top, top players. Pep has them.
"Mikel is not there yet. Probably in the future, he will be. He has taught the players in a short period of time how he wants to do it.
"You see that some have improved a lot for doing that. Now let's see if he can transform that into titles."
Arsenal and Chelsea, the two Premier League clubs Fabregas has played for, are set to go head to head in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
