Argentina winger Angel Di Maria is quickly closing in on David Beckham's record of assists in a season for Manchester United.

The ex-England international racked up 15 assists and six goals during the Red Devils' 1999/2000 title winning season.
The Argentine, who still has seven games to play, now has 10 Premier League assists for the season, five shy of Beckham's record for the club.
The closest attempt to breaking Beckham's record came from a fellow right winger, Nani, back in the 2010/11 season.
The Portuguese assisted 14 goals all season and it helped Manchester United seal the title.
The following season, the club saw Antonio Valencia come close with 13 assists - that helped him win all three main awards at the club's end of the year gala.
To put this all into context, Angel Di Maria currently has 10 assists in this year's Premier League campaign, and with seven matches left to play, he looks certain to become the ninth different player to top the assist chart in a Premier League season at the club.
Players that have featured before Di Maria are Eric Cantona (four times), Ryan Giggs (six times), Beckham (four times), Dwight Yorke (once), Rooney (five times), Dimitar Berbatov (once), Nani (once) and Valencia (once).
