Dutchman Memphis Depay recently left Manchester United to join Lyon in France after two unsuccessful seasons at Old Trafford. The winger looked a shadow of the player the world saw perform for the Netherlands, but despite the move not working out, he could still grow into the star he was expected to be at United.
Former Real Madrid winger Jese Rodriguez has also not had the best of times since his move to Paris Saint-Germain – in fact, even though he has only been there since the beginning of this season, he has already been linked with a move to Middlesbrough in the Premier League.
Angel Di Maria's 2014 move to the Red Devils from Los Blancos also never worked out, and the same can be said of Radamel Falcao's loan transfer to United (and Chelsea) from Monaco, while Christian Benteke's was also seen as a flop at Liverpool.
Former Valencia striker Paco Alcacer has been largely unimpressive at FC Barcelona this season, scoring just one goal in 15 matches, while former Blaugrana goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has been ridiculed for his many errors at Manchester City in this campaign.

Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado also features in the gallery as many consider his transfer to Chelsea from Fiorentina in 2015 to be a failure.
