3 Bites, 1 Punch, 1 Handball & Abuse - Luis Suarez's Craziest Moments

It's now only 10 days until the next El Clasico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, and the clash will see Luis Suarez make his debut for the Catalan giants. In this this third special we take a look at the Uruguayan's craziest moments throughout his career.

1) Punched Chilean Gonzalo Jara in the face.

During Chile's 2-0 win against Uruguay in the 2010 World Cup qualifying match, Suárez and Chile's Gonzalo Jara got into a heated battle. When the two players took their positions for a corner kick in the 34th minute there was a lot of grabbing and shoving. Suárez, took things one step further and punched Jara in the face with his fist. The referee at the time did not book the Uruguayan, despite seeing the tussle. The striker was punished for the misconduct a few days after the incident and was suspended for one game.

2) Prevented a goal with a handball in the 2010 World Cup against Ghana

At the 2010 World Cup during the quarterfinal against Ghana, Suárez pulled off the most infamous of all controversies that have to this day surrounded his career. With the game tied at 1-1 in extra time, Suárez stopped Dominic Adiyiah's goal-bound header with his hand in the dying minutes of the game. The Uruguayan was sent off immediately, but stayed on the touchline to celebrate Asamoah Gyan's missed penalty kick, before happily walking down the tunnel to see his side beating Ghana after penalty kicks.

3) Bit the shoulder of Otman Bakkal (First Biting Incident)

On November 20, 2010, Suárez bit Otman Bakkal, PSV's attacking midfielder, on the shoulder during a goalless draw. Ajax was forced to suspend the then "Dutch Footballer of the Year for two matches, and Suárez was fined an undisclosed amount. The KNVB did later increase his suspension to seven league matches in the Eredivisie.

4) Racially abused Patrice Evra in a Premier League match

The Uruguayan's 2011-12 season was marked by an incident which found him guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra during a 1-1 draw against Manchester United. The Football Association was forced to open up an investigation into the case after the match. After a seven-day hearing, Suárez, was handed an eight-match ban and a £40,000 fine by the FA.

5) Bit the arm of Branislav Ivanovic (Second Biting incident)

The striker's second biting incident followed on April 21, 2013, in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea in a Premier League match at Anfield. Overshadowing the game itself, Suárez appeared to bite the right arm of opposing defender Branislav Ivanovic inside the Chelsea penalty area. The incident was unnoticed by the officials, and Suárez was able to score an equalizer in the injury time to level the game. An investigation was ensued afterwards by the FA, finding the Liverpool striker guilty and deciding to hand out a 10-match ban.

6) Bit the shoulder of Italy's Giorgio Chiellini (Third Biting Incident)

Lastly, on June 24, 2014, Luis Suarez sunk his teeth into the shoulder of Italian defender, Giorgio Chiellini, shoulder during the Group D World Cup match between Italy and Uruguay. This incident caused outrage around the footballing world and it forced FIFA to come down hard on the Uruguayan.
