FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reacted to Argentina's 2-0 win over Qatar at the 2019 Copa America on Sunday night, which saw them progress to the next round.

Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Sergio Aguero sent the Albiceleste beyond the group stage, in a performance that should have perhaps been more convincing than it was.
However, captain Messi, who turns 32 today, believes his teammates can take a lot of positives away from the result, insisting that the tournament really begins for Argentina now.

"We played a good game and we won, and that was what mattered," he said, according to The National.
"We needed a game like this to gain some confidence and calm. As we play more games, the team grows each one and that game was good for that.
"The important thing was to win to keep going in the Copa, to get through the group stage. This will be an important boost for what's to come ... another Copa begins now.
"This victory must give us strength and make us grow as a team."
