Argentina 3-0 Ecuador

Argentina eased into the semi-finals of the Copa Americ with a 3-0 win ove Ecuador in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Rodrigo de Paul, Leandro Paredes and Giovani Lo Celso were among seven changes for Lionel Scaloni's men, a decision which seemingly paid off.

De Paul got the opening goal five minutes before the break after latching onto Lionel Messi's pass before firing home at the back post.

While Ecuador were unable to claw themselves back in the contest, Messi was in the thick of things again on 84 minutes by offloading the ball to Lautaro Martinez for the second goal.

Piero Hincapie was given his marching orders on 90 minutes for hacking down Angel di Maria, which allowed Messi to get his name on the scoresheet with his 58th career free-kick, surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo's record of 57.

Uruguay 0-0 Colombia

Uruguay bowed out of the Copa America after suffering defeat to Colombia on penalties on Saturday night.

Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez led the attack for the 15-time winners while Duvan Zapata and Lucas Muriel lined up for the Colombians.

With both sides failing to break the deadlock in regulation time, the game went to a penalty shoot-out where the Colombians triumphed 4-2 after José Giménez and Matias Vina faield to convert their spot-kicks for Uruguay.
