The tournament is set to get underway on 13 June, with the Selecao taking on Venezuela in the opening match on Sunday night in Brazil, where it was decided the Copa America will be held after previous co-hosts Argentina and Colombia were stripped of the duty due to protests and rising COVID-19 numbers.

Tite named his official squad on Wednesday, and there were no big surprises, although former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain right-back Dani Alves, who captained his country to Copa America triumph in 2019, was unavailable through injury.

Real Madrid trio Eder Militao, Casemiro and Vinicius Junior were named in the 24-man squad, as was Manchester United midfielder Fred.

In attack, Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus and Liverpool's Robert Firmino will look to complement Neymar, who recently scored his 66th goal for the Selecao in a 2-0 win over Paraguay.
