Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni recently announced his 23-man squad for the 2019 Copa America, and left out some pretty big names, including two Manchester United players. Here is a strong starting line-up made up of Albiceleste stars who will not be going to the tournament.

Scaloni, who replaced Jorge Sampaoli as Argentina's head coach following their exit from the 2018 FIFA World Cup, initially called up 32 men for his preliminary Copa America squad.
However, just a few days later, he cut down his selection, and there were a few notable omissions.
Among them is United goalkeeper Sergio Romero. The 32-year-old, who some believe is one of the best back-up keepers in the game, has ultimately paid the price for not playing more often for his club and was not called up despite representing his country on 96 occasions already.
His Red Devils teammate Marcos Rojo was also left out of Scaloni's selection and, together with AS Roma's Federico Fazio and Sevilla's Gabriel Mercado, he forms the back three of our attack-minded Snubbed XI.
With Argentina usually having a host of attacking talent to choose from, it does not surprise that Scaloni had to leave some big names behind.
In midfield, Sevilla's Ever Banega and West Ham United's Manuel Lanzini did not make the cut, while Argentina-based Maximiliano Meza and Cristian Pavon were also left out by the 41-year-old coach.
Up front, Gonzalo Higuain and Mauro Icardi are the standout names missing from the squad, while Lazio's Joaquin Correa was also snubbed.

Argentina, who have been drawn in Group B alongside Colombia, Paraguay and Qatar, will attempt to win their first international trophy since winning the 1993 edition of the tournament.
