The Copa America quarter-final fixtures have now been revealed after the group stage came to a close on Tuesday morning.
Chile 0-1 Uruguay
Having won their first two matches of the tournament, Chile were on course to advance to the next round of the competition as winners of Group C.
Cavani, however, had other plans as he scored a wonderful glancing header in the 82nd minute to secure first place for Uruguay.
Chile were the better side, having more opportunities and more possession, but it was not to be as Cavani secured all three points for his country.
Ecuador 1-1 Japan
Both Ecuador and guests Japan were dumped out of the competition after their 1-1 draw on Tuesday morning.
Shoya Nakajima opened the scoring for the impressive and fearless Japan, but Angel Mena found the equaliser in the 35th minute to draw the match level.
