Last week, news emerged suggesting that the Blues were the frontrunners to acquire Olise's services after it was said that Manchester United had dropped out of the race for his signature.
However, the Bavarian side now look set to prise the London native away from Crystal Palace, and according to The Telegraph, this is because the Bundesliga outfit will be playing in the UEFA Champions League next season.
The same report claims that Bayern's history of success proved a key reason for the winger to choose the Allianz Arena over Stamford Bridge, with Die Roten being perennial contenders for domestic and continental honours.
European football and the rapport Olise has reportedly built with Bayern's new manager Vincent Kompany in recent days have been key factors as to why it is likely the Frenchman will become the record German champions' newest signing.
The Belgian coach is understood to have reached a consensus with the 22-year-old over his vision for the team and the playing style he wants to impose on his new side.
