With Real Madrid loanee James Rodriguez's future yet to be resolved, Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have provided a transfer update on the 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball winner.

The Colombia international is nearing the expiration of his stay with the Bavarian giants after joining the club from Los Blancos on a two-year loan deal in July 2017.Bayern do have the option of making the former FC Porto star's stay in Germany permanent for a fee of €42 million (R680 million), but that decision, which has reportedly been left up to coach Niko Kovac, is yet to be made.
According to Marca, Rodriguez will return to Zinedine Zidane's Los Blancos upon the expiration of his loan deal on 15 June. The report claimed that the German giants have opted against extending his stay due to his relationship with coach Kovac being "irreparable".
When asked about the former AS Monaco attacker's future prior to Bayern's 3-1 victory over Hannover on the weekend, the club's president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed that a decision is yet to be made on the Colombian's future.
"The conversation (over James' future at the club) has yet to be conducted," Bayern's president said.
Rodriguez has made 28 appearances across all competitions for the Bavarians so far this season, finding the back of the net on seven occasions and registering six assists.
