The young talent is highly regarded at Dortmund, and despite only turning 16 in November, the player has already been registered for the club's 2020/21 UEFA Champions League squad, and could become the youngest player ever to debut in the competition this season.
The Cameroon-born striker has even been labelled the "African Messi" by some, and Eto'o believes he could be the next big superstar.
"There is a young player at Borussia Dortmund. His name is Youssoufa Moukoko. He is 15 years old and the next big player for me after Messi," he said at the LaLiga Santander Ambassadors Gala on Tuesday.
"As Lionel is getting older, we could prepare well for the future at Barcelona.
"With Antoine (Griezmann) and Youssoufa on the front line, the team would be in a great position."
Moukoko has been in excellent form too, having scored a third consecutive hat-trick for Dortmund's U19 side last weekend.
