Bale's only contract runs out in 2022, but the Spanish giants have no desire to keep him any longer as he is not in Zinedine Zidane's plans.
According to the Sun, Bayern Munich have approach Real to enquire about a possible loan deal for the Wales international.
One of the main stumbling blocks for Los Blancos is Bale's wage which is reportedly around £350,000-a-week, but the Bavarians are willing to 'match' the players earnings.
The deal could make sense for the Bundesliga champions after parting ways with veteran wingers, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery while there has been no update on the reported talks for Manchester City's Leroy Sane.
Premier League outfits Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the Welshman in recent months as Los Blancos look to part ways with the 29-year-old.

Bale made a total of 42 appearances last season, but Zidane's return saw the forward's minutes reduced while he did not feature in the final three LaLiga games.
