One African is among the most valuable U20 stars in Europe, while Borussia Dortmund sensation Jadon Sancho is now said to be worth more than Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), a Swiss-based football statistics institute, has published its latest update on transfer values, focusing on U20 stars in Europe's top five leagues.
Multiple variables were taken into consideration, including player performances, age, contract length and potentially interested clubs.

In CIES' latest report, Jadon Sancho sits at the top of the U20 ranking, with an estimated value of €150.3 million (R2.44 billion).
As a consequence, the BVB winger has overtaken Ronaldo, whose current value is estimated to be between €120 million (R1.95 billion) and €150 million (R2.43 billion) by CIES.
Sancho's value is more than double that of second-placed Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi with €70.1 million (R1.13 billion). AS Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo, who is valued at €67.4 million (R1.09 billion), completes the podium, while Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz, with a value of €64.3 million (R1.04), is hot on his heels.

Further down the ranking is Villarreal's Samuel Chukwueze. The Nigeria is valued at €35 million (R568 million) by CIES, making the most valuable African U20 star.
