Wolfsburg registered their first win of the Bundesliga season after edging newly-promoted side Arminia Bielefeld 2-1 at Volkswagen Arena.
Wout Weghorst gave the hosts the lead in the 19th minute and Maximilian Arnold doubled their lead just a minute later.
Sven Schipplock pulled a goal back for Arminia in the last ten minutes but Wolfsburg held on for their first victory of the league campaign.
As a result, Wolfsburg went up to tenth on the table while Arminia remain in 14th place.
Wolfsburg will travel to Herth Berlin in their upcoming league clash next Sunday while Arminia will host Borussia Dortmund next Saturday.
Werder Bremen extended their unbeaten run to four matches after playing to a 1-1 draw against Hoffenheim at Weserstadion.
Maximilian Eggestein grabbed an early lead for the hosts in the fifth minute while Dennis Geiger levelled matters for Hoffenheim in the 22nd minute.
Werder moved up to sixth on the log with eight points while Hoffenheim climbed up to eighth position.
Werder will visit Eintracht Frankfurt in their next league outing on Saturday afternoon while Hoffenheim will switch their focus to the UEFA Europa League when travel to Gent on Thursday.
