Bundesliga Wrap: Leipzig Denied Top Spot In Four-Goal Thriller

RB Leipzig missed the chance to move top of the Bundesliga after they were held to a draw by Wolfsburg in a four-goal thriller at Volkswagen Arena.

Nordi Mukiele and Willi Orban got the two goals for Leipzig while Wout Weghorst and Renato Steffen were on target for Wolfsburg in a see-saw game.

Borussia Monchengladbach's two-game winning run came to an end after being held to a 2-2 draw by Stuttgart at Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Lars Stindl broke the deadlock for Gladbach ten minutes before the break from the penalty spot while Nicolas Gonzalez levelled matters for Stuttgart just before the hour-mark.

Denis Zakaria restored the lead for the visitors just before the hour-mark and Silas Wamangituka denied Gladbach all the three points as he snatched the equaliser for Stuttgart deep in stoppage time from the penalty spot.

Augsburg lost back-to-back matches after going down 2-0 against Werder Bremen at Weserstadion.

After a goalless first stanza, Theodor Gebre Selassie and Felix Agu scored two goals in the last six minutes to snatch all the three points for Bremen.

Arminia Bielefeld moved two points clear of the relegation zone after holding Hoffenheim to a goalless draw at PreZero Arena.

In game of few clear-cut chances, Ritsu Doan came the closest to breaking the deadlock for Arminia seven minutes before the break with a free-kick from the edge of the box that curled inches over the bar.

FC Koln remained two points from safety after playing to a goalless draw against Hertha Berlin at RheinEnergieStadion.

After a goaless first stanza, Omar Alderete came the closest to breaking the deadlock for Hertha in the 64th minute with a header inside the box that crashed against the crossbar.
