Bayer Leverkusen jumped to fourth spot in the Bundesliga with a 4-3 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach on Sunday evening.
A brace from Lars Stindl had Gladbach 2-1 up after Lucas Alario had netted for the home side in the 27th minute.
Alario completed his brace four minutes before the break to restore parity for Leverkusen, who went on to take the lead in the second half thanks to strikes from Leon Bailey and Julian Baumgartlinger.
Valentino Lazaro bagged Gladbach's third goal late on, but Leverkusen held on to claim the win.
Wolfsburg got back to winning ways in the Bundesliga after defeating Hoffenheim on Sunday afternoon.
The hosts raced into a two-goal lead in the first half through Renato Steffen and Wout Weghorst.
After Weghoust had missed an 84th minute penalty, Sargis Adamyan pulled one back for Hoffenheim three minutes later.
Hoffenheim had a chance to pull level on 90 minutes, but Mu'nas Dabbur failed to convert a penalty as Wolfsburg held on for the win.
