Bayer Leverkusen 6-1 Eintracht Frankfurt

Bayer Leverkusen kept their top four hopes alive with a 6-1 mauling of fourth-place Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday evening.

The home side showed no mercy in the first half as they netted six goals through Kai Havertz, Julian Brandt, Charles Aranguiz, a brace from Lucas Alario and an own goal Martin Hinteregger.

The win sees Leverkusen move up to fifth spot, level on points with Frankfurt who boast a superior goal difference.

Freiburg 1-1 Fortuna Dusseldorf

Freiburg and Fortuna Dusseldorf settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon.

Vincenzo Grifo opened the scoring for Freiburg after nine minutes before Dawid Kownacki secured the equaliser on 31 minutes.   Schalke 0-0 Augsburg

Schalke have secured their Bundesliga status for another season despite dropping points in a goalless draw with Augsburg.
