Date: 24 October 2020
Venue: Allianz Arena
Robert Lewandowski bagged a hat-trick to inspire Bayern Munich to a 5-0 thrashing of Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday afternoon.
Leroy Sane returned from injury but only started on the bench as Hans Flick went with the tried and tested Bayern line-up.
The Bavarians were forced though into an early re-shuffle as Alphonso Davies was forced off with an injury and replaced by Lucas Hernandez.
Despite's Davies' injury, it was business as usual for Bayern who opened the scoring on 10 minutes, with Lewandowski finding the back of the net with a left-footed effort.
It was too long before Bayern bagged a second goal as the Polish striker got on the end of Joshua Kimmich's cross to head home his second of the game.
Frankfurt, meanwhile, had no answer for the treble winners as goalkeeper Manuel Neuer enjoyed a quiet opening 45 minutes at the Allianz Arena.
It was more of the same in the second half as Bayern pushed for more goals, as Hernandez and Kingsley Coman were denied by Kevin Trapp in the opening 10 minutes.
However, Bayern got their third goal on the hour mark as Lewandowski completed his hat-trick with a neat finish off Douglas Costa's cross.
Sane was eventually introduced on 68 minutes and the Germany international made his presence felt after extending Bayern's lead four minute later with powerful finish.
Flick's charges managed to get a fifth goal on 90 minutes, with the young Jamal Musiala firing past Trapp from close range to round off an emphatic win in the Bundesliga.
