Jude is now widely regarded as one of the best players in world football, following a sensational debut campaign for Real Madrid. Since arriving in the Spanish capital, the 21-year-old has won both LaLiga and the UEFA Champions League, while also becoming a central figure in Los Blancos’ star-studded squad.
Before earning a €100 million (R2 billion) move to Madrid, the Stourbridge-born midfielder rose to prominence at Borussia Dortmund. His transfer from Birmingham City to the Bundesliga outfit in 2020 saw him become the most expensive 17-year-old in football history at the time.
Now, his younger brother Jobe could follow a similar path. According to Sky Germany, Dortmund are interested in signing the Sunderland midfielder and have made significant efforts to show their intent.
Head coach Niko Kovac, sporting director Sebastian Kehl, general manager Lars Ricken, and chief scout Sebastian Krug are said to have travelled to England recently to hold talks with the teenager and his camp. The club reportedly maintains a strong relationship with the Bellingham family and hopes this will give them an edge in negotiations.
