FIFA announced the 10 nominees for the Best FIFA Coach of the Year award, but snubbed Mamelodi Sundowns' coach Pitso Mosimane. Here is why the African champion should be in the list.

The 52-year-old became the first South African coach to lift the CAF Champions League title, leading his side past Egyptian giants Zamalek in the final.
In addition, Mosimane also guided the Brazilians to the Premier Soccer League title, breaking the record points tally for a 16-team PSL season as well as winning with the biggest margin over the second-placed club.
FIFA revealed 10 names this week, which "have been selected by football experts from the FIFA Football Committee".
However, it appears the football mother body only looked at Europe for the 2016 version of the award as all nominees are either coaching club or national teams in Europe.
Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino, for example, didn't win any trophy with their respective sides. Although they can look back at impressive seasons, it seems at least questionable why they were selected ahead of Mzansi's finest.
In fact, with Chris Coleman (Wales), Didier Deschamps (France) and Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid) there are five coaches, who haven't won anything in 2016, among the nominees.
However, Pitso wasn't the only coach hard done by as Chile boss Juan Antonio Pizzi, who guided his side to a the Copa America title, was also snubbed. He replaced Jorge Sampaoli, who won the Copa America with La Roja in 2015, as Chile boss and immediately guided them to defend their title.

Similarly Reinaldo Rueda, who lead Atletico Nacional to the Copa Libertadores – the South American Champions League – and the Colombian league title, was also not on the list of nominees.
