Paris Saint-Germain star Sergio Ramos has thrown his support behind teammate Lionel Messi for the 2021 Ballon d'Or award.
The winner for this year's Ballon d'Or will be announced in the French capital on Monday evening, with many tipping Messi to collect his seventh title.
The Argentine was the last player to win the award after France Football cancelled the 2020 edition due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, Ramos has now wished his new teammate all the best for the prize despite being fierce rivals for the past decade in Spain.
"Yes, of course I'm going to defend the guys in my team," Ramos told ESPN, as per Marca.
"I wish him all the luck in the world."
Ramos' PSG debut was overshadowed by Messi bagging three assists against Saint-Etienne, but the Spaniard is delighted to be playing alongside his former rival.
"He's a unique player and it's a privilege to have him in the team.
"I think that bit by bit, each of us is going to bring our own quality to make Paris Saint-Germain even greater and achieve the things we want to achieve."
