Simba SC has reportedly threatened a boycott of their own if Yanga SC doesn't honour the rescheduled Kariakoo Derby clash.
Check Out: Yanga 'Still Refusing' To Play Simba
Simba was scheduled to face rivals Yanga SC on 8 March in the Tanzanian Premier League but the match was postponed after the Reds of Msimbazi were denied an opportunity to train at the ground beforehand.
The Tanzanian Premier League Board (TPLB) rescheduled the game for Sunday 15 June but Yanga is reportedly refusing to play the game as the club feels Simba 'ran away' from the original clash.
In response to Yanga's refusal, Simba released a statement and said the club would not play any other rescheduled game except the one set to take place on Sunday.
"Simba SC wishes to inform their members and fans that they will be at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Sunday, June 15, ready to take part in the number 184 league fixture as scheduled by TPLB,” the club said, according to Pan Africa Football.
The club continued: "Any efforts to try and postpone the derby is breaking rules governing the sport in regards to running of football in the country. On that note, Simba will not participate in any number 184 match, apart from the one which is planned for Sunday, June 15."
